Michael Bishop

Michael Bishop, 68, of Middlesboro, passed away at his daughter’s home surrounded by family on Friday, May 24,2024. He was born in Williamson, WV on May 14, 1956, a son of the late Bill and Dimple Justice Bishop. Michael had been a coal miner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Bishop.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Tackett Bishop; children, Kayla, and Casey Hatmaker and K.J. and Melissa Phillips; grandchildren, Kierra Phillips, Kylee Phillips, Kenna Phillips, Brady Hatmaker, Bentley Hatmaker and Brynna Hatmaker; sisters, Judy and Glenn Jessee and Sue and Don McCoy and a host of other family and many friends.

Private services will be held later.
