Merritta Hoskins Saylor

Merritta Hoskins Saylor, 74, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in Bell County, KY on December 31, 1940 a daughter of Jessie Lee Miracle Hoskins and the late Woodrow Hoskins. She had been a homemaker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Darren Keith Saylor. Survivors include her mother, Jessie Hoskins; daughter, Michelle Smith; sisters, Codetta Hoskins, Phyllis Ann Miracle, Kedith 'Kitty Kat' Hurst, Vondria Lou Hoskins and Myrtle Faye Hoskins; grandchildren, Jonathon, Sarah and Jordan Smith; nieces, Lesa Davis, Teresa Gulley; nephews, Ralph Miracle, Darrell Miracle, Gerald Hurst and Clifton Hurst; a special friend, Johnny Hoskins, a host of great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends to mourn her passing. Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Charles 'Chuck' Taylor and Elder Kenneth Robbins. Music will be by Billy Ray Hoskins, Denise Collett, Deborah Saylor and Vickie Saylor. Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery at Page Cut-Off with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 until the funeral hour on Monday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church.
