Melody Mahe Hammontree

Melody (Mahe) Hammontree, age 70, of Frakes, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at her home. Melody was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Mahe and Bessie Lee Mahe; sister, Lynn Mahe; and mother-in-law, Mildred Hammontree. Melody was born January 14, 1952, at Fort Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia. As a child, Melody traveled most of the world with her family as her Dad served in the United States Air Force. She was a believer of the Christian Faith and attended The Branham Tabernacle. Melody loved her family and the lord. Melody was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved to travel and take trips with her family. She was always willing to pray for everyone. Melody attended many ballgames and event for all her children and grandchildren. She always wanted to be a part of everything they did. Melody was an accomplished businesswoman and homemaker. She loved to fish and cook for her family. Melody is survived by her husband of 50 years, Doug Hammontree; her loving sons, William and Holly Hammontree, Joseph and Katy Hammontree, Seth and Tina Hammontree, and Isaac and Shannon Hammontree; her 15 grandchildren, Sydni Hammontree, Seth and Keinnan Miller, Riley Miller, Mary Kate Smith, Gracie and Blake Sexton, Aiden Hammontree, Noah Hammontree, Jordan Collins, Laiken Hammontree, Laney Hammontree, Kaitilyn Hammontree, Micah Hammontree, Luke Hammontree, Levi Hammontree, and Willow Hammontree; brother, Kenneth Mahe; and many more friends and family to remember her. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Hammontree Cemetery with Pastor Kelly Partin presiding. Singers will be Katy Hammontree, Kelly Hatfield, and Rachel Bowles. Pallbearers will be William Hammontree, Joe Hammontree, Seth Hammontree, Isaac Hammontree, Aiden Hammontree, Noah Hammontree, Jordan Collins, Blake Sexton, Charles Pickard, and Richard Bowles.
