Maxine Gayle Carroll

Maxine Gayle Madewell Carroll, 61 of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Tri-State Manor Health and Rehab Center in Harrogate, TN. She was born on June 12, 1956 in Harlan, KY, and was a daughter of the late Hobert and Ida Middleton Madewell. Maxine believed in the Holiness faith and had been a homemaker and loving mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Junior Turner, Ralph Shorter and Larry Carroll; brother, David Day and sister, Geraldine Madewell. Survivors include her son, Rodney Alan Turner of Pineville; brothers, Ronnie Madewell and Hobert Madewell, Jr., both of Harlan; Nancy Madewell and Michelle Lankford, both of Harlan, and Mary Grubbs of Pineville; a very special friend, Becky Krogh; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens at East Pineville with her family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 AM until funeral hour at 2 PM, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Carroll family.
