Matthew William Evans

Matthew William Evans, 34 of Stoney Fork, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Pineville Community Health Care. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 20, 1988, a son of Renee Couch Evans and the late Jerry Wayne Evans. Matthew had been a truck driver. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Kenny Ray Taylor. Matthew is survived by his wife, Samantha Bingham Evans; sons, Braxton William Evans and Jerry Alexander Evans; mother, Renee Couch Evans; siblings, Priscilla Evans Taylor and Johnny Canada, Jerry Wayne Evans, Jr. and wife, Angel, Jennifer Bays and Tiffany Bays; nieces and nephews, Ashley Taylor Smith, Toby Smith, Dawson Taylor, Gage Evans, Gracie Evans, Gemma Evans, Chloe Marsee, Nathan Marsee, Raeden Canada, Trent Canada, Hunter Canada, Lindsey, Cameron, Alaina, and Luna; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Wayne Goodin and Rev. Mike Brooks presiding. Burial will follow at the Centers Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Evans, Dawson Taylor, JC Grubb, Cory Baker, RJ Coe, Charles Evans, Jason Taylor, and Les McDonald. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Evans Family.
