Matt Orville Taylor, 77 of Jenson, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Jenson on February 6, 1935 and was the son of the late William 'Bill' and Sarah Cox Taylor. Matt was a member of the Church of God-Independent, had worked as a coal miner and retired as the Maintenance Director for the Bell County School System. Matt was a faithful husband,, loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all his nieces and nephews who adored and loved him. Matt's advice, encouragement and humor will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his son, Edna Neal Taylor; brother, William Gillis Taylor; sister, Mary Taylor Elliott; nephews, Clinton Elliott and Bill David Elliott and special cousin, Floyd 'Mogie' Cox. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Ethel Taylor of Jenson; son, Steve Duane Taylor; sister, Bessie Taylor Lefevers; brothers and sisters in-laws, Roscoe Taylor, Willard Taylor, Mary Watts, Dollie and Roy Grubb, Loretta and Custer Laws and Shirley Elliott Taylor; nieces and nephews, Jason Taylor, Clark Taylor, Emily Lefevers Hoskins, Joyce Mary Lefevers, Jennifer Elliott Yankey, Beverly Jane Elliott,TEvis Goodin Elliott, Clint Hurley, Brooke Hurley, Lonnie and Jean Smith; four great-nieces and two great-nephews; special friends, Eugene and Kathy Collett and Katrina and Richard, and Rick and Christine Daniels.
