Mary Wombles

Mary Wombles, 79, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Chicago, IL on July 28, 1935 to the late Edward and Katherine Sweeney Miller. She was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, James Wombles, sisters and brothers, Veronica (Jim) Harris, Kathleen Miller and Danny Miller. Survivors include her loving sister, Margaret (Jim) Nitz; adored mother of Karen (Ulis LIngar) Wombles; Susan (Darrell Washington) Wombles, Ronald (Amy) Wombles Kathy 'Chatty' (Sohail) Mirza, Donald (Jenny) Wombles and Travis (Amanda) Holman, beloved grandmother of Julia Wombles, Ronald Wombles, II, Michael Wombles, Kyle Holman, Brandy Williamson, Justin Bretz, Sarah Lingar, Misty (Matthew) Wombles, Ulis Lingar, Cody Wombles, Jordan Wombles, Jeremy Philpot and Ernie Amparan; devoted great-grandmother of Bryan, Mackenzie, Aaron, Anthony, Faith, Braelyn, Addelyn, Brylee, Ryan and Carson; brother-in-law, Alfred Wombles; special companion, Tyson; special friend, Grandma DeeDee and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was like a mother to Harold Smith and Edgar Smith. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Thobias Sabariar and Rev. W. Terrell Gibson. Music will be by Justin Griffin. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with grandsons and special friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Wombles Family.
