Mary Helen Ramsey

Helen Black Ramsey, 96, of Ingram, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was born in Four Mile, KY on March 8, 1921, a daughter of the late George and Delora Brock Black. She belonged to the Greasy Creek Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Elmer Ramsey, Jr.; son, D.R. Black; brothers and sister, John Samuel Black, William Black and, Elsie Stacy, Survivors include her son and his wife, Doug and Sandy Ramsey, grandchildren, Josh and JadeRamsey; great-grandchildren, Josh, Kylie and Zoey Ramsey; brother, Sherman Black; sisters, Darlene Jones and Kathleen Grays; brother-in-law, Eugene (Barb) Ramsey; sister-in-law, Inez Black and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Services will be at 6:00 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Sanders. Music will be by Mickey Wilder and Darrell Saylor. Burial will be in Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jones, Joshua Ramsey, Dale Buckles, Stan Hoskins, Ryan Blevins, Bradley Fuson and Bobby Brummett. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab, Eugene Ramsey and Josh 'Bub' Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Ramsey Family.
