Mary Magdalene Rice Miller

Mary Magdalene Rice Miller, 83 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Harlan ARH. She was born in Mill Creek on November 20, 1938, a daughter of the late Robert Rice and Lizzie Mills Daffnos. Mary had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Vernon Curtis Miller; son, Vance Miller; and brother, Lee Rice and his wife, Janice. Mary is survived by her children, Charlene Smith, Monola Ann Miller, Kenneth Miller, and Beulah Miller; grandchildren, Michelle Wilder and her husband, Dewayne, Queene Miller Belcher and her husband, David, Phong Kevin Miller, Brandon Lynn Fugate, David ‘Bub’ Allen Smith, Chasity Collett Sizemore, Candace Lefevers, Billy Joe Brock, Jr., Gage Miller, Vance Michael Miller, and Brittany Carnes; sisters, Martha Layton and Stacy Daffnos; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner presiding. Music will be provided by Judy Wagner. Burial will follow at the Big Jim Cemetery in Arjay. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Wilder, Billy Joe Brock, Jr., David Smith, David Belcher, Brandon Fugate, Damian Messer, and Devon Messer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Miller Family.
