Mary Nell Thompson Hensley

Mary Nell Thompson Hensley, 78, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Tenova Turkey Creek, Knoxville, TN. She was born in Calvin on June 4, 1946, a daughter of the late Dewey and Mellie Hoskins Thompson. Mary was a Pharmacy Tech and had worked at both Morgan Drug Store and Rite Aid Drug Store for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Clay” Hensley; granddaughter, Sarah Skidmore and brother, Ed Thompson.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Pam Smith and husband, Blaine and Angie Skidmore; grandchildren, Ashley Hensley and Clayton Smith; great-granddaughter, Lily Dye; sister, Lorraine Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery at Hances Creek with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 12 until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Pineville.
