Mary Lee (Poore) Griggs was born July 26, 1937; she passed away quietly at her home in New Tazewell, Tn. on February 18, 2012.

Mary was saved at an early age at Clouds Memorial Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death.

She attended elementary school at Clouds School and Head-of-Barren School. She graduated from Claiborne County High School in 1957.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Parlin W. Poore and Dorothy Turner Poore. Mary was the 5th of ten children born in this union. Also preceded in death by her brothers: Clyde Poore, James Poore, and sister Edith (Ede Poore) Keck.

Survivors are Brothers: Claude A Poore and wife Pauline of New Tazewell, Tn., Reverend Roy C Poore and wife Ruth, Tazewell, Tn., Sisters: Betty (Poore) Fullwood & husband James of Ellijay, Ga., Martha (Poore) Lynch & husband Junior of Kokomo, Indiana. Brothers: Kenny Poore & wife Tonya of Biloxi, Mississippi, Keith and Richard Poore of Harrogate, Tn.

A Memorial Service was held at the Church of God Mountain Assembly, New Tazewell, Tn. On February 24, 2012 at 7:00PM. Officiated by Rev. John Keefer. Music was provided by family and friends.
