BRITTAIN, Mary Helen, 81, of Largo, FL, died Jan.6, 2010. Mary was born in Bell County, KY and moved here in 1958. A daughter of the late Vincent B. and Clara Howard of Hulen, KY. Mary trained as a teacher in Kentucky and retired as a real estate associate from Ross Brittain & Assoc. Real Estate, Largo. Mary was a member of Bayside Community Church of God, 3380 SR 580, Safety Harbor; Band of Gold Booster Club (1974-1978) and Pinellas Realtors Assoc. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son, Daniel (2007); sister, Christine Barton; and brothers, Mendal Howard and Vincent B. Howard, Jr.; and is survived by her husband, Ross E. of 58 years; sons, David R.(Beverly) and Steve E. (Lori), both of Tampa and Richard L. (Rebecca) Clearwater; brothers, Ray Howard, Jerry Howard, Joe Howard, Jack Howard and Walter Howard; sisters, Sharon Howard and Jewel Degrado and 4 grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice or the Alzheimer's Assoc. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Reece Valley Chapel with Pastor Joe Howard and Jerry Brittain officiating. Burial in the Scott Cemetery.
