Mary Magdalene Baker

Mary Magdalene Baker, 81, of Pineville, KY passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on May 17, 1938 in Pineville, KY to the late Joe and Birdie Russell Dell. Mary Magdalene was a member of the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Community Church and had worked for Western Electric, RCA and the United States Postal Service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Otis, Frank, Salvene, Joe E and Johnnie Dell and sister, Jessefine Gray. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Claude Baker; son, Jeffory (Sandra) Baker of Pineville, KY and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family would like to extend thanks to her loving church family and special friends, Vicki Washam, Eleanor Liford, Ollie Stewart and Doyle Keith. The family would also like to thank the staff of Amedysis Home Health, Pineville Community Health Center and Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital for their care and compassion. Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 4, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Jeremy Spurlock, Rev. Brad Baker and Ronnie Washam. Music will be provided by the Church, Ollie Stewart and the Spurlock Family. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY. Pallbearers will be Dennis Dell, Mark Gollihue, Mark Saylor, James Terry, Bobby Beverly, Darrell Haley and Tyler Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers will be FrankDell, Joseph Dell, Lester Saylor, John Hurley, Bobby Wilson, Stanley Saylor, Reed Saylor and Jerry Caldwell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Baker Family.
