Martha Massengill Soard

Martha Massengill Soard age 83 of Harrogate went home to be with The Lord September 26, 2014. She was a long time member of Shawanee Baptist Church. Born June 15, 1931 to the late Calvin & Orlena Whitaker Massengill. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband William Soard Jr., all of her brothers & sisters, special nieces Opal Earl & Brenda Norrod and son-in-law- Richard Lewis Whitener. Martha loved her children and they were her joy in life. She loved her family and her friends. She was a kind giving heart.

Survivors include daughters- Sherry Whitener of Peachtree City, GA & Sue Ann Soard of Harrogate, TN, Grandchildren- Richard Adam Whitener & April & grandson-in-law Kevin and great-grandchildren- Macie & Amelia Mae, many nieces & nephews.

Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday September 30 at Shawanee Baptist Church with Rev. John Gibbons officiating. Music by Diane Eggers. Burial in the Scott Cemetery. Pallbearers: Josh Price, Kevin Tinsley, Luke Vaughn, Jonathan Karg, Bruce Robinson, Jimmy Liford. Honorary Pallbearers: Buford Brooks, Vince Price, Wayne Williams, Larry Norrod .
