Martha Lock Russell

Martha ('Marty') Belle Lock Russell, age 70, wife of the late Frederick William Russell II, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Marty was born in Tinsley, Kentucky and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was the daughter of the late Reed Montgomery and Ardith McGaffee Lock. Martha was a fantastic and supportive mother and cherished her children. She was employed as the Records Secretary at Spartanburg High School for over 10 years, a graduate of College Centre in Danville, KY and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by three sons, Major F. W. Russell III and his wife, Melissa of Camp Lejeune, NC; Reed L. Russell and his wife, Jenny Ellen, of Bethesda, MD and Steve M. Russell and his wife, Leah of Spartanburg, SC. Martha was blessed with seven grandchildren.
