Martha Bryant

Martha Viola Oaks Bryant was born July 5, 1917, and passed away May 5th, 2007.

Mrs. Bryant professed faith in Christ at an early age and faithfully attended Shawanee Baptist Church. She was a 50 year member and past Worthy Matron of Shawanee Chapter # 436 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a wife, mother and homemaker who devoted her life to the care of her family.

Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by Roy Bryant her husband of 63 years; her parents Madison & Pearlie Davidson Oaks, two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include sons:

Dean Bryant and wife Pat of Mineral Wells, TX

Roy C. Bryant of Harrogate

Grandchildren; Russell Bryant, Kim Bryant; and great grandson Colton Bryant, all of Hot Springs, AK

Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Caregivers & friends at Tri-State Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday with an Eastern Star service following, at Reece Valley Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 9th at 1:00 pm at Reece Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Hansard officiating. Music by the Lawson family and a special song by Steve Gulley. Graveside service will follow at the Harrogate Cemetery.

Pallbearers: David Ray, Bill Vance, Terry Rummel, Dick Nevils, David Claiborne, Johnnie Russell. Honorary pallbearers are friends and members of Shawanee Chapter #436 Order of the Eastern Star.
