Marietta Helton Lewis Webster completed her earthly journey on Monday, May 24, 2010 at her home in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born March 14, 1925 to the late James S. and Frances Kinningham Helton of Bell County, Kentucky. Marietta married Milton H. Lewis November 18, 1945. This union was blessed with three children: Milton H. Lewis, III (Sallie Winkler) of San Antonio, Texas, Marietta ?Sissy? L. (William A.) Case of Lexington, Kentucky and F. Allen (Karen Rogers) Lewis of Harrogate, Tennessee. After the passing of her husband in 1986, Marietta married Charles Webster in 1988. They were married until Chuck?s death in 2006. She is survived by a brother J.C. Helton; two sisters: Frances ?Cinder? Parsons and Eloise Drake; eight grandchildren: Melissa Lewis Noonan, Catherine Lewis Clarke and Asher Lewis; Ashley, Allison and Jim Case; Alec and Kayla Lewis; and eight great grandchildren. Marietta attended Western College, the University of Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville. An active worker in the Bell County community, she was a member of KFWC, the Board of Education, Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival Board, Business and Professional Woman?s Club, was a member of the Pineville First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 32 years. All who knew Marietta knew her to be a woman of conviction, strong will and devoted to her church, her family, her home and her many friends. She loved playing golf , tennis and cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats.
