Magdalene Rutherford Shepherd

Magdalene Rutherford Shepherd, 85, of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born on June 7, 1932 a daughter of the late Ulabay and Martha Ann Hensley Rutherford. She was a member of the Straight Creek Pentecost Holiness Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Hugh Rutherford, Sarah Rutherford, Ernest Rutherford, Kenneth Rutherford, Bobby Rutherford and Charles Rutherford. She is survived by her husband, Paul Shepherd, children and their spouses, Mary Edna and Vernon Willis, Paul, Jr. and Debbie Shepherd, Ricky Jo Shepherd, Steven Ray and Marie Shepherd and Jerry Lynn and Becky Shepherd; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Swiney, Jessica Shepherd, Jamie Shepherd, Natasha (Shawn) Brock, Mitchel (Caddy) Willis, Elizabeth Shepherd, Taylor Shepherd, Nathan Shepherd and Aleah Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Logan Brock, Sawyer Brock, Kennedy Brock, Benjamin Brock, Kyleigh Willis and Madison Willis; brothers and sisters, Clarence and Edna Rutherford, Billy Rutherford, Lorene Bingham, Helen Green and Elsie and Cecil Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 12 Noon Sunday at the Straight Creek Pentecost Holiness Church with Rev. John Neal. Music will be by the Church Singers. Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday after 6:00 PM at the Straight Creek Pentecost Holiness Church.
