Magdalene Mills

Magadalene Mills passed away peacefully March 23,2014 in Lexington, KY after a long illness. She was born July 19,1939 to the late Nathan and Ollie Emery. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Emery and her sister, Maureen Emery Jones. Left to mourn her passing is her husband , Carnes Mills, daughter and son in law, Joanie and Allen Roper, son and daughter in law Terry Wayne (Bo ) and Deborah Mills, daughter and son in law, Katherine and Leonard Miller. Grandchildren, Jeremy and Kimberly Roper, Jonathan and Tiffany Mills, Michelle Mills, adopted grandchildren, Jan-Michael Lambdin and Will Lambdin. Sister and brother-in-law, Nadean and JC Meredith, sister, Norma Rodgers, brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Judy Emery, brother and sister-in-law, Otis and Charlotte Emery, and a host of family and friends; special friends : Brooke Helton Philpot and 'the golden girls' Mary Sinkhorn, Kathy Money, Billie Knuckles, Marlene Napier, Betty Mason, Juanita Nelson, Dana Fisher and Miriam Matthews. Also a special thanks to Dr. Martha Combs Woolum who gave mom many years of loving, compassionate care. Mom left behind the most important legacy of all, love. She was selfless with her giving spirit and her greatest joy was doing for others. She loved others and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves behind an emptiness in our lives that will never be filled. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at Arnett and Steele funeral home, the Revs Jonathan Mills and Earl Dean Swanner presiding. Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Roper, Jonathan Mills, Chad Emery, Jan-Michael Lambdin and Will Lambdin . The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Mills Family.
