Mae North

Mae Alford North, 83 of Greasy Creek went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 8, 2011 at the Tri State Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate, TN. She was born in Pineville on October 10, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Mary Webb Alford. Mae believed in the Baptist faith, was a homemaker and loved fishing and to watch wrestling. In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Willie Lee North; sisters, Alice Green, Maude Baker and Francine Alford; and brothers, Clarence Alford and Junior Alford. Survivors include her son, Bruce Ray North of Siler; daughters, Carolyn Sue and Denny Overton of Pineville and Mary Linda and Curtis Akers of Pineville; grandchildren, William Ray North, Khrisma Lee Carter, Anita Jo Rae North, Meagan Desi North, Michael Curtis Akers and Alicia Ann Hoskins; ten great-grandchildren; six special nieces and nephews, Lee Dewayne Baker, James David Baker, Jonathan Carmack, Karen Kay Baker, JoAnn Baker, Misty Lynn Baker and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
