Mack Sewell Owens

Mack Sewell Owens, 78 of Speedwell passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the North Knoxville Medical Center. He was born in Speedwell on September 15, 1941 and was the son of Jacob M. and Grace Miracle Owens. Mack believed in the Baptist faith and was retired from Shubert Machinist, where he worked in tool and dye manufacturing. He was also a Veteran of the Army National Guard.

In addition to his parents, Mack was preceded in death by his wife, Alma June Parks Owens and his brothers and sisters, Martha Belle Williams, Sondra Faye Tinnell, Jake Owens, Jr., William Douglas Owens and James Michael Owens.

Survivors include his son, Mack Dusty Owens of Speedwell; brothers, Alburn Owens and wife, Glenda of Speedwell and Ken Owens and wife, Sandy of LaFollette; special niece, Teresa Henegar; special cousin, Steve Hopper; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 10 at the Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell with Rev. Larry Anderson officiating.
