Lucy Ellen Simpson

Lucy Ellen Roark Simpson, age 78, of Thorn Hill, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born May 6, 1941 to the late Chester and Ada (Saylor) Roark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Simpson.

She is survived by her children; Daniel Rolland Simpson, Sr. and wife Dana, Aaronie Jean Simpson Bailey and husband Woody, grandchildren; Daniella Rollanda Simpson, Daniel Rolland Simpson, Jr. and wife Hannah, Dena Faith Simpson, Darren Ray Simpson, Danielle Michelle Asbury and husband Zach, great grandchildren; Jaxon Bailey, Liam Simpson  and Baby Girl Simpson due in September 2020. Brothers; Matt Roark, Willie B. Roark, Everette Roark, Stellar Roark and C.L. Roark, sisters; Catherine Warren, Mildred Altiere, Anna Lee Blevins. She Is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family members and friends. The family would like to extend a thank you to special nurses Crystal Maloney and Stacy Whitt.

Due to COVID-19, private graveside services will be conducted at the Simpson Cemetery in Thorn Hill, TN with the Rev. Fred Reed, Rev. Frankie Bolden and Rev. Marty Seals officiating. Music will be provided by The Reed Family.

Pallbearers; Daniel Rolland Simpson, Sr., Daniel Rolland Simpson, Jr., Darren Ray Simpson, Tony Simpson, Rock Seals, Ryan Seals and Jason Brian Lawson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
