Loyal David Miller

Loyal David Miller, known as David by many passed away in the early hours of October 4th, 2023. David Miller was born in 1941 to Trula (Clark) Miller and Clarence Miller in Sharps Chapel in Union County, Tennessee. He lived on Miller Hill with his family until they moved to Monroe, Michigan. Growing up in the 50’s he learned to love everything mechanical. Hot rods, motor oil, “Bondo” seems to run in his veins. He learned all facets of making and restoring muscle cars. Self-taught in many ways he could do bodywork, mechanical, electrical as a meticulous artisan. He worked at GM Hydramatic in Toledo, Ohio from 1962 to 1992, a proud member of UAW Local 14. During this time he married Peggy (Walker) Miller and raised three boys Loyal David Miller II, Charles Korbett Miller, and Matthew Mackinsey Miller. He loved camping and fishing for Walleye in Lake Erie. After his retirement he moved back to the rolling hills of Tennessee where he married Marie Carmack and travel around the country.  They loved traveling and visiting historic places. We will miss David’s ability to tell stories and hearty laugh.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:30PM until 4:30PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel. Graveside services will follow in the Chadwell Cemetery with Rev. David Billingsley officiating. Music will be provided by Bailey Reisinger.
