Lowell "Scott" Turner

Lowell Prescott 'Scott' Turner, 54, of Tazewell, TN, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 4, 2017 at his home after a long illness. He was born in Pineville, KY on December 25, 1962, and was the eldest of two children to Lowell and Roberta Epley Turner. After graduating from Bell County High School, Scott attended Lincoln Memorial University and Southeast Community College, earning radiology certifications. Scott was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and spent his 25 year professional career as a Radiologic Technologist at Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell, TN. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Laura Turner, and maternal grandparents, Edward and Sudie Epley. Scott is survived by his beloved son, Thomas David Prescott Turner; parents, Lowell and Roberta Turner; sister, Rebecca Angela Perry and husband, C.G., nephews, Sean Matthew Perry and wife, Ashlee, Ryan Patrick Perry and Conner Thomas George Perry; great-nephew, Karson Matthew Perry; as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. Scott was a loving, caring father and a treasured son, brother and uncle, who will be greatly missed by his family. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 6, at 3:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Walzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with C.G. Perry, Sean Perry, Ryan Perry, Conner Perry, George Brooks and Randy Greene serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Turner and Karson Perry. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Turner family.
