Lorraine Helton Hoskins

Lorraine Helton Hoskins, 76 of Calvin, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Claiborne Health & Rehabilitation Center in Tazewell. She was born in Red Bird on October 28, 1949, a daughter of the late Rob and Jessie Helton and a sister to ten siblings. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Lorraine was a believer in the Baptist Faith. She worked for 10 years as a Ward Clerk for the Pineville Community Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Fred Hoskins; bonus son, David Hoskins; and siblings, Jesse Rob Helton, Bonnie Jean Whitehead, Pauline Gambrel, Jewell Shackleford, Gwendall Helton, Robert Helton, Jr., and Albert Helton.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Tonya Saylor and husband, Mark, Tina O’Daniel and husband, Bill, and Renee Saylor and husband, George; grandmother/mother to three granddaughters, Lindsey Saylor, Kelsey Lay and husband, Chance, and Mackenzie Lawson and husband, Shawn; grandmother to five grandsons, Kristopher Williams, Tyler O’Daniel, Scott Hoskins and wife, Hannah, Brandon Daniel, and Brayden Saylor; bonus children, Diane Hoskins and Johnny Hoskins; sister, Christine Money and husband, Lynn; brothers, Arnold Helton and Freeman Helton and wife, Janice; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of bonus grandchildren, bonus great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Demus Couch and Rev. Jeff Baker presiding. Music will be provided by Joann Smith, Brayden Saylor, and Mickey Wilder,

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hoskins Family.
