Loretta Mosley Caldwell

Loretta Mosley Caldwell, 77, of Kettle Island, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born in Hyden on July 12, 1946, a daughter of the late Bige and Mary Mosley. Loretta was a member of the Stoney Fork Holiness Church and had been a care giver and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Jones; brothers, Arthur Mosley, Dillard Saylor, Walter Saylor, and David Saylor; and sister-in-law, Sue Mosley.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 24 years, Joe Caldwell; son, Eddie Jones of London; daughter, Stephanie Salyers and husband, Tyrone, of Manchester; stepdaughters, Juanita Saylor and husband, Elmer, of Stoney Fork, June Brummett and husband, Konomos, of Harrogate, and Lovella Lawson of Pineville; stepson, Steve Caldwell and wife, Sandra, of Stoney Fork; brothers, Clarence Mosley and wife, Debbie, and Junior Mosley; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the Stoney Fork Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Holland, Rev. Jerry McKinley Holland, Rev. Demus Couch, Rev. Ben Mosley and Rev. Freddie Johnson presiding. Music will be provided by the church family.  Burial will follow at the Osborne Cemetery in Pine Top with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville and then from 9:00 PM until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the Stoney Fork Holiness Church.
