Lonnie Simpson

Lonnie Simpson, 69, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2 012 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Pineville on April 9, 1943, a son of the late Clarence and Annie Green Simpson. Lonnie was a member of Our Father's House and he had worked for CSX Railroad for 33 years as a backhoe operator. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Simpson and a sister, Evelyn Hensley. Survivors include his wife, Donna Harding Simpson; daughter, Shannon Anderson; step-children, Alisa Johnson, Jack Howard, Catina Howard and Shane Howard; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Willis and Christine Carver; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks is given to all the Hospice Workers.
