Lonnie Johnson Sharpe

Lonnie Johnson Sharpe, (61), of Pineville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from complications with surgery at the Pineville Community Health Center. Lonnie was born on July 25, 1960, to the late Marlow Sharpe and Dorothy Honeycutt Taylor. He grew up in Pineville, Kentucky where he raised his family that he loved more than anything, and his family was his pride and joy. He worked at England’s Furniture in New Tazewell, Tennessee as a Supervisor in Sewing Machine Mechanics. He loved to hunt and fish at any opportunity and was of the Baptist Faith. God gained a very special angel, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, Marlow Sharpe; his mother, Dorothy Taylor; and his brother, Terry Sharpe. Lonnie is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Lisa North Sharpe; three children, Lonnie Earl Sharpe and wife, Tessie, Amanda Green and husband, Kyle, and Christopher Sharpe and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Hannah Marlow, Makayla Green, Kyle ‘Bubby’ Green, Jr., Chloe Sharpe, Isabella Green, and one on the way (Mason); great-grandchildren, Aubree Marlow and one on the way; sisters, Darlene Overton and Cheryl Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Partin, Jr. presiding. Burial will follow at the Sharpe Cemetery in Davisburg. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Earl Sharpe, Kyle Green, Kyle Green, Jr., Jarve Miller, Johnathan Parks, Curt Marlow, and Trever Ayers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Sharpe Family.
