Lola Ferrell Howard

Lola Ferrell Howard, 74, of Pineville passed away on Friday at Baptist Health, Louisville. She was born in Kettle Island on September 2, 1944 a daughter of the late Lewis and Norma Collett Ferrell. Lola was a member of First Baptist Church and had retired from Wallins Creek School where she taught 6th grade for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Toleman Ferrell and sisters, Corena Cox, Judy Baker, Geraldine Henline, Elonda Defevers and Hildreth Rice. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Henry Howard; children and their spouses, Clay Howard, James and Melissa Howard, Jill Howard Reams and Steve Reams, John and Rebecca Howard, Doug and Brandi Howard and Becky Howard, grandchildren, Megan Myers, Bridgett Miracle, John Bailey, Sarah Reams, Jake Reams, Abigail Reams, Anna Howard,, Laurel Howard, Rachel Howard, Grace Howard, Lola Howard, Lorna Howard and Savannah Howard; great-grandchildren, Luke Miracle and Maggie Myers; brother, James Ferrell; sisters, Charlotte Kimball and Inez Morrow and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Howard. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with sons and grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 Noon until 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, Pineville.
