Lois Smith

Lois Jean (Shipley) Smith, age 74, of Speedwell, passed away Aug. 13, 2006 at the St. Mary's Health and Rehab Center of Lafollette, Tn. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Cumberland Gap, Tn. and a member of the Powell Valley Eastern Star 484 for several years. She was the daughter of the late Shelby and Pearly (Haynes) Shipley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Joan (Smith) Robertson and brothers, Carl and William Shipley.

Funeral services 8 :00 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Valley Chapel with President Russell Figuira, Elder Nathan Hickley and Elder Roger Smith officiating. Burial 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Yoakum Cemetery. Pallbearers: David Mundy, Fred Robertson, Alva Monday, Scott Johnson, Carl "Bud" Ellison, David Smith and Carl Claiborne. Honorary pallbearers: Travis Mundy, Thad Ellison, Steve Green, Tommy Ellison, Tony Ellison and Daryl Ellison.
