Lois Jean Fuson

Lois Jean Fuson, 62 of Ferndale, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Meldrum on December 22, 1953 and was a daughter of the late Tom Jeff Crawford and Betty Jane Osborne Crawford. Lois had been a homemaker, was a graduate of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, and had spent the last several years working at Ryan's Buffett in Middlesboro, where she had become a very familiar face as a longtime cashier and hostess from the store's opening until its recent closing. Survivors include her sons, Tommy Dewayne Fuson of Middlesboro, Jerry Lee Fuson and wife, Sheryl Ann of Harrogate, Larry Elwood Fuson of Beckley, WV and James Travis Fuson of Ferndale; grandchildren, Michael Thomas Riley Fuson, Hunter Alexander Fuson, Tyler Jerome Fuson and Trevor Lee Fuson; sisters, Judy Faye Baker and husband, Bobby and Barbara Jean Gibbs and husband, Bob; nieces and nephews, Mathew Powell, Robert Powell, Rebekah Gibbs, Jennifer Lynn Brindle and husband, Doug, Fallon Thacker and Farron Baker; a host of other relatives and all of her friends, neighbors and coworkers from her many years in the Ferndale community and at Ryan's. Services will be 7:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Givens. Music will be by Thomasa Risner. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Turner Cemetery in Colmar. Pallbearers are Mark Emery, John Emery, Matt Powell, Robert Powell, Trevor Fuson, Tyler Fuson and Bobby Baker. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 until 7 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Fuson family.
