Lois Engle

Lois Daphene Engle, 79, of Middlesboro, formerly of Pineville, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born in Bell County on July 1, 1928 the daughter of the late James O. and Cordelia Smith Davidson. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Engle; brothers and sisters, Osco Davidson, Capitlo Cross, Maggie Bays, Edith Austin, May Ayers and James Ferguson. Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Jay Genia and Carmel Hoskins and Jan and Rick Evans; grandchildren, Amie and Adam Lake, Carla Hoskins, John Cox, Parker Evans and Hunter Evans; great-grandchildren, A.J. Lake and William Maddox Berry; brother, Leo Howard of Mousey, KY, her roommate, Rachel Childress and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
