Obituary

Lisa Pauline Baker, the most loving Mother, Mamaw, Sister, "Aunt Lee" and friend to so many, passed away peacefully, at her home surrounded by the family she loved so dearly, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the age of 65. 

She was born April 24, 1961, in MIddlesboro, Kentucky, daughter of the late Arthur and Naomi Dean and raised in the Big Spring Union Community throughout her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed fishing, vegetable and flower gardening, making crafts, decorating her home and yard for seasons and holidays and she was an avid UT Vols fan. Lisa was a preschool teacher for Bell County Schools at both Ward Chapel and Cubbage Elementary Schools, then later served as the Early Head Start Coordinator for Bell-Whitley for many years until her retirement. Lisa had a true passion for ensuring children got the best possible start in their education. She was a lifetime member of Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, of Harrogate, Tennessee

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband of twenty-three years, Russell Good; second husband of nearly twenty years, Steve Baker; two brothers, infant brother Leon Dean and Jimmie Brooks; one sister, Eileen Dean- Turner; and one nephew, Kelvin Brooks. 

Survivors include one son, Eric (Lauren) Good; one daughter, Ashley (Joe) Harris; seven grandchildren, Sophia Hazel Good, Ava Grace Harris, Keira Jean Good, Maddox Joseph Russell Harris, Annalee Naomi Good, Logan Eric Good and Maverick Carson Harris; one step son, Ben (Katie) Baker; one very special sister, who was by her side through every step of life, Cheri (Johnny) Johnson; two brothers, Jerry (Cathy) Dean and Thomas "Tom" (Mabel) Brooks; sister in law, Kim (Doyle) Hoskins; brother in law, Mike (Sherry) Good; special aunt and uncle, Shirlene Brass and Carson Arnett; special niece, Kinzley Johnson; close special friends, Sandra Herrell, Pat Lambdin, Lois Massengill, Penny Moore, and Travis and Danielle Lawson; special cousins, Tish, Sherri, Virginia and Betty; a host of nieces and nephews, family, church family and a multitude of friends. 

Funeral Services will be held at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel, in Harrogate, Tenneessee, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 3PM, with Rev. Leo Surber and Rev. Eric Good, officiating. 

Visitation will be held from 12PM until time of services. 

Interment to immediately follow services, at Cosby Cemetery (Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church) in Harrogate, Tennessee. 

Music to be provided by Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church singers.

Pallbearers to serve, Maddox Harris, Rick Turner, Greg Herrell, Dustin Herrell, Landon Johnson and Jared Johnson. 

Honorary pallbearers, Logan Good, Maverick Harris, Elijah Johnson and Jager McFall. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to Bluegrass Navigators Hospice, especially Robert, Meagan and Shila; Dr. Enomoto and the UT Cancer Center Staff; Baker Cancer Center; Dr. Yeary and Stone Mountain Health Services; and Dr. Wilmoth and the Claiborne Co. Medical Staff.
