Linda Doll Peevely, age 86, of Speedwell, Tennessee, formerly of New Market, Virginia, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loved ones.

Born March 2, 1940, in New Jersey, to the late Frederick “Fred” and Wilma Doll, Linda devoted her life to being a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Linda, referred to as a “mother to many” loved taking care of her own children and grandchildren in addition to opening her heart and home to many other children in need from time to time over the years. Selfless, she was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Linda was a retired United States Postal Service mail carrier with twenty-one years of service. She was a charter member of the Christ of Cumberlands Lutheran Church, of Harrogate, Tennessee, having been a member for fifty years. Linda served as President of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League for nearly twenty years. Also, she was a member of the Artist Co-Op of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, working in her flower garden or bird watching. To know Linda, was to be loved by her; she will surely forever be missed by her family and friends.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-eight years, Robert “Bob” Peevely; one sister, Katherine Hillards; and one special niece, Leann Doll.

Survivors include four children, Elaine (David) Rogers, Robert (Raegan) Peevely, Janet (Andrew Wheeler) Peevely and Karen (Adam) Hopson; eleven grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) Rogers, Daniel (Paige) Rogers, Austin (Kristen) Rogers, Ashlyn (Carter) Rogers, Tequila (Andrew) Peevely, Leah (Aaron) Hatfield, Desmond (D.J.)
