Lillie (Carnes) Callebs

Lillie B. Carnes Callebs, 85, of Warren Michigan, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Physician’s Regional Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.  She was born in Walker, KY on February 5, 1933, a daughter of the late Dock and Cordie Mills Carnes.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. Lillie was a member of the Moose Lodge in Michigan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olus Callebs.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Chumley and husband, Freddie and Dennis Callebs and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Mark Callebs, Karie Baker and husband, Bradley, Matthew Fischer and wife, Jamie, Michael Fischer and wife, Brooke and Freddie Van Chumley, III; great-grandchildren, Alexus Vanover, Matthew Grayson Fischer and Kaylee Baker; brother, Lyon Carnes and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 7:30 PM Thursday at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel with Rev. Marvin Simmons.  Music will be by Franklin and Madison Chumley, Josh Greene and Sue Tuttle.

Burial will be on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, MI.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Fischer, Michael Fischer, Trey Chumley, Mark Callebs, Bradley Baker, Clifford Carnes and Brett White.
