Leslie "Pete" Fuson Lemons age 64 of Speedwell passed away April 27 2014. Born Aug 24, 1949 to the late Fuson Hurst & Ethel Ruth Lemons Lowe. He was a member of the True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Michigan. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Pete's life revolved around his family. A Vietnam Veteran, he served honorably in the armed forces and was awarded The Purple Heart for service above and beyond the call of duty. He was a member of the VFW Erie Michigan. He also retired after 31 years of dedicated and loyal service as an employee of General Motors Corporation. Pete is a true example of perseverance through adversity in spite of the many struggles he experienced in his life. He sincerely believed his faith in God made him stronger and prepared him for eternity. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter- Angela Dale Lemons and sisters- Judy Lowe and Linda Lowe. Survivors include Wife- Patricia Lemons, Son- Eric Alex Lemons, daughter- Destiny Renee Lemons all of Speedwell, Brothers- Michael Lowe of Breman, IN & Johnny Lowe of Tazewell, TN, Sister- Tammy Lowe McKee of South Bend, IN and grandchildren Preston Michael Lemons & Zachary Charles Gennoe. Funeral Service 8:30 PM Wednesday April 30 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. Don Proffit officiating. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kenny Lemons, Bobby Lemons, David Ray, Jamie, Mabes, Scott Walker, Johnny Williamson. The family will receive friends from 6-9 Wednesday night and from 11-1 on Thuirsday.
