Rev. Leonard Ellison

Charles "Leonard" Ellison age 60 of Speedwell, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday November 29, 2015, while preaching Gods Word. Leonard was born December 23 1954, in Clairfield TN to Robert and Sally Ellison. He was was a faithful member and Pastor of Speedwell Church of God. Leonard loved the Lord and his church more than life it's self. He also enjoyed spending Saturday with his grandchildren, especially trips to eat and the flea market.

Leonard is preceded in death by: Father- Robert Ellison, Mother- Sally Ellison, Sisters in Law- Emma Ellison, Shelly Ellison, and Tammy King Ellison.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 34 years- Tammy Ellison of Speedwell, sons: Daniel Ellison and wife Rebecca, Elijah Ellison both of Speedwell. grandsons: Dylan Ellison, Jonah Ellison, and Hunter Ellison of Speedwell. brothers: Roy and (Gladys) Ellison, Claude and (Caroline) Ellison, Carl and (Rose) Ellison, Kenny Ellison and Robert Ellison Jr all of Speedwell TN and Jerry Ellison of Lafollette TN. sister: Febbie Herron, Cora and (Julius) Reynolds, Susie and (James) harp all of Speedwell TN. Leonard is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday December 4th, 2015 from 5-8 pm at the Speedwell Church of God. Funeral service will be Saturday December 5th, 2015 beginning at 1 pm. Rev. Rick Braden and Rev. Jim Hurst officiating. Music by Speedwell Church of God Singers. Burial to follow in the Ellison Family Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jeff Fuson (Popcorn), Chuck Cobb (Ridgerunner), Mark Rutherford (Digger), Joseph Hensley, Jacob Crawford, Jim Hyatt, Joe Pierce, Tyler Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers: Jimmy Rogers, Mike Ford, Dr. John Michael Robertson, Friends and family at Middlesboro Mining Company.
