Lela Ann Hoskins passed away on June 27th, 2009. She loved her family and was especially proud to have been blessed by being able to care for her Mother Nellie Ferry for several years. She loved music, baking, drawing posters for church events and talking on the phone daily to daughters Jane and Sandra, and especially to Brother Willis. She took great pride in being the pianist for George Braxton Taylor Goodwill Center in Saint Charles, VA for 20 plus years. She also loved working with the center's youth and revivals. She lived in Saint Charles and Pennington Gap, VA and loved being the secretary for Federal Crop Insurance and Lee Auction Company. Lela moved back to Cumberland Gap after her husband Raymond's death to care for her mother, Nellie Ferry. She felt blessed to be able to care for her mother for several years. She lived in Harrogate for 22 years. During the time she lived in Harrogate, she developed a very special friendship with her neighbor Leona Willbanks. Leona eventually became her primary care provider. Lela was preceded in death by husband Raymond Hoskins, Father and Mother Claude and Nellie Ferry, Sister, Mary Ruth Haley and Brother, Willis Ferry. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jane & Ron Smith, Daughter and Son-in-law Sandra and Ronnie Parsons, Niece & Husband Mary Nell and Richard Wilson, Nephew, Doug Ferry, Grandchildren, Lisa, Shane, Shawn, Tony, Rhonda, Mary Ruth and Travis, plus several nieces and nephews.
