Laura Evans Johnson

Laura Evans Johnson, age 81 of Tazewell TN was born on March 28, 1934 and went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2015, peaceably in her sleep. She was saved as a young girl and was a member of Goins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to Bobby Johnson on August 30, 1951 and they spent over 62 years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family and growing beautiful flowers.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband Bobby, infant son Bobby Ray, parents Leonard and Eva Evans, brothers Jack, Alvia and Dwight Evans, sisters Lola Sandsan, Helen Thomas, Evelyn Gordon and Geneva Barnett.

Laura is survived by her son Johnny & wife Clevi, daughter & husband Carolyn & Danny Brooks, 3 grandchildren Penny, Peggy and Jared, 5 great grandchildren Onnastasia, Konner, Maddison, Landon and Kenzlie. One sister Patsy Poore & husband Don nie of South Carolina, one brother Alfred Evans of North Carolina and sister-in-law Barbara Evans of Tazewell and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.

Funeral 3 PM Saturday October 17 at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev Stanley & Rev. Jack Daniels officiating. Music by Jack Daniels & family. The family will receive friends from 1-3.
