Larry Ewell "Fish" Mills

Larry Ewell “Fish” Mills, 70 of Barbourville, formerly of Arjay, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at his home. He was born in Pineville on August 19, 1954, a son of the late Ewell Mills and Beaulah Rhodes. Fish was a member of the Old Arc House of Prayer, former member of the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department and captain at the Arjay Station, and former Constable of Bell County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Susie Collins and Sherry Collins; and brothers, Hobert Collins and Hubert Collins.

Fish is survived by his best friend, Carolyn Hayre; grandchildren, Mona Murray, Andrea Collett, and Larry Wayne Collett; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner presiding. Music will be provided by Barbara McDonnell and Crystall McDonnell. Burial will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the friends of Fish Mills.
