Larry "Boomer" Johnson

Larry H. 'Boomer' Johnson, 67 of Laurel Hill, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at U.T. Hospital in Knoxville, TN. He was on March 23, 1945 at Lily, KY, the son of the late Neoma Smith Johnson and Otto E. Johnson. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and had operated a bulldozer in the Coal mines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Hobbs Johnson, a daughter, Pamela Renee Johnson and a brother, Harold Eugene Johnson. Survivors include his children, son Norman Wade Johnson and Michelle Rye of Laurel Hill, daughters Tina Campbell of Turkey Creek, Sheryl Dye and Toney of East Pineville; grandchildren, Pamela Sigmon, Matthew Campbell, Cody Campbell, Nicholas Dye, Jake Dye, and Daniel Dye, special uncle, Harold Johnson; special cousin, Vernon Pennington, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
