Larry William Green

Larry William Green, 70, Laurel Hill of Pineville, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2024, while surrounded by his family. He saw that Light from “The Lighthouse” he sang about so many times. With great anointing from the Lord, he sang and traveled for many years. Singing and winning souls to the Lord was his heart’s desire. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who spent 30 years of his life working as a coal miner to provide for his family.

He was the son of the late Martin Oakley and Lillian Viola Knuckles Green. He was preceded in death by his beloved son-in-law, Wesley Mason; sister, Tommie Louise Johnson, and in-laws, Bill J Goodin (Sandra) and Helen Walker.

Left to mourn his passing, his wife of almost 50 years, Debbie Goodin Green, who stood with and beside him; his two daughters, Adrienne Saylor (Garrett) and Suzanne Browning (Doug); grandchildren, Devin Miller (Kadi), Ethan Mason (Brittany), Emily Browning (Dakota), Peyton Mason, and Dawson Browning; great-grandchildren, Noah King, Skylar Mason, Liam Miller, Braylee Mason, and Macie Miller; brothers and sisters, Delores Morguson (Sonny), Cassie Green (Bill), Robert Allen Green (the late Rena Green), Elaine Quinn (Tommy), Helen Brock (John), Jeannie Willis (the late Wayne Willis), Teresa Adkins, Nancy Stoner (the late Eddie Stoner), Danny Green (Rhonda), Mary Evans (Dan), and Martin Harold Green (Barb); and many friends and family.

We would like to acknowledge Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum for her kindness and care, along with the Bluegrass Navigators team. And a special thank you to his nurse aid, Susan, and his nurse, Meghan, who became as family.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Bro. Don Messer and Bro. James Roark presiding. Speaking will be Larry Mason and Danny Gray. Music will be provided by Gerald Baker, James Roark, and Faye Messer. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in East Pineville. Pallbearers will be Devin Miller, Ethan Mason, Peyton Mason, Dawson Browning, Doug Browning, Garrett Saylor, Rick Goodin, and Dakota Grigg. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Baker, Mike Wilson, and Willard Mason.
