Larkin Jackson

Larkin Jackson, 80, of Laurel Hill, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born at home on Laurel Hill, KY on July 2, 1939 a son of the late Andrew and Shirley Simpson Jackson. Larkin lived his who life fight beside the home where he was born. He went to third Grade before helping on the farm with his father. He was a believer of Old Primitive Baptist Church. He had retired from the maintenance department of the KY State Highway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two stillborn siblings, and brothers and sisters, Clara Jackson Rousey, Ethel Jackson Hobbs, Kenneth Jackson, Hugh Jackson, Nannie Jackson Miracle, Andrew 'Buddy' Jackson, Jr., Henry Jackson and Leon Jackson. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Shirley Sizemore Jackson; children, Barbara Chandler, Christopher Chandler, Michael Andrew Jackson and Shawn Jackson; grandchildren, Kelsey Jackson Manley, Johnny Chandler, Courtney Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Heather Chandler, Keith Jackson, Rowan Chandler, and Vincent Chandler; great-grandchildren, Noah Manley, Jeremiah Manley, Addison Jackson, Brooklyn Jackson and Giannah Manley; brothers, Frank Jackson and Roger Jackson; sister, Delia Jackson Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Honorary Officiator, Elder Kenneth Robbins, Elder Randall Miracle and Elder Ricky Dorton. Music will be by Old Bluegrass Gospel Music. Burial will be in the Jackson Cemetery on Laurel Hill. Pallbearers will be Johnny Chandler, Rowan Chandler, Keith Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Arnie Jackson and Kevin Jackson. Honorary pallbearers, Elder Kenneth Robbins,, Glen Peace, Rick Nelson, Vincent Chandler, Dudley Hilton and the Bell County Bobcats. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 9 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Jackson Family.
