Jerry L. Black, 51 of Ingram went to be with God on Friday, August 29, 2008 in Ingram. He was born in Pineville on November 1, 1956 a son of Inez Thompson Black and the late William Pierce ?Bill? Black. He was a member of Centennial Baptist Church since 1980 and had been a construction worker and a mechanic, operating a Sunoco Service Station with his father for several years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Garrett Ray Black. Survivors include his mother, Inez Thompson Black of Ingram; daughter, Michelle Annette Jones and husband, Jonathan of Pineville; son, Shawn Black and fiancé?, Melissa Blanken of New Tazewell; grandchild, Hannah Jones of Pineville; sister-in-law, Sudie Black of Flat Lick; nephews, Bill Black and Gary Black of Flat Lick and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
