Kenneth Rutherford, 77, of Middlesboro, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012, at Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, TN. He was born in Cary, KY on May 30, 1934, a son of the late Ulius 'Bay' and Martha Ann Hensley Rutherford. He was a member of the Ary chruch of God of Prophesy and had served in the United States Army. He had been a high school Special education teacher for the Middlesboro School System. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, SArah Rutherford, brothers, Ernest, Hugh, Bobbie Gene and Charles Rutherford. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeanette Howard Rutherford, son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Howard and Cindy Davis Rutherford, granddaughter, Presley Alexis Rutherford; brothers and sisters, Magdalene Shepherd and husband, Paul; Lorene Bingham, Helen Greene, Clarence Rutherford, Elsie Smith and Billy Wayne Rutherford; special friends, Lora and Norma Akers, Tony and Mary Campton, Dr. Kenneth W. and Isabelle Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
