Kenneth Wayne Edwards

Kenneth Wayne Edwards, 64, of Pineville, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 18, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Sims Fork, KY on May 24, 1960, a son of Dora May Widner Akers and the late Kenneth Edwards. He had done autobody work for Darrell’s Body Shop, Rowland’s Chevrolet and Evans Body Shop. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Middlesboro. Kenneth was an avid fan of the Bell County Bobcats and the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a hard-working family man who will be missed.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Howard.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, of thirty-eight years, Melony Kay Hembre Edwards, sons, Brandon Edwards and wife, Michelle, and Daniel Edwards; grandchildren, Trenton Wane Edwards, Tanner Nicholas Edwards and Abigail Rebecca Edwards; sisters, Teresa Stafford and Jowana Bailey and husband, Kenny and Doug Akers and wife, Lynn; special cousins, Sherry, Jake and Marline; special friends, Lloyd Poore, Sam Brown and Joe Babbs and a host of relatives and many friends. Special thanks to Blue Grass Hospice.

Services will be on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Bush and Mr. Scott Keith. The music will be by Linda Leach, Sister Bush and Theda Polly. The burial will be in the Mills Cemetery at Tinsley. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donations for funeral expenses are appreciated.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 -3:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
