July 10, 1941 — August 24, 2019

Kenneth Lee Carnes, 78, of Arjay passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born in Kentucky on July 10, 1941, a son of the late Jim Matt Carnes and Myrtle Woolum Carnes. Kenneth was a Deacon and member of Victory Baptist Church of Arjay. He had been a taxicab driver, owner of Carnes Garage and Auto Parts Sales and retired from Bell County School System as a school bus driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Daisy Mae Brock Carnes and sister Betty Delois Bingham. Survivors include his two sons, Randy wife Victoria L. Carnes of Pineville, KY and David wife Tina Carnes of Shelbyville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brooke husband David Norris, Brandon wife Jessica Carnes and Tiffany husband Jon Lemon; ten great grandchildren; sister, Darlene husband Ronny Allen along with a host of other family and friends, and many Christian brothers and sisters in Christ. Services will be on Wednesday, August 28, at 11:00 AM at Victory Missionary Baptist Church at Arjay with Rev. James Polly and Rev. Wilkie Saylor. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Carnes, Jake Broughton, Josh Gipson, James Saylor, Dustin Goodin and Tim Hoskins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Arjay.
