At the age of sixteen, Kathy accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, a decision that shaped the rest of her life. Her faith remained steadfast throughout the years and was evident in the way she lived, loved, and served others. One of her fondest memories was traveling throughout Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana during tent revivals, where she played the piano and sang praises to the Lord. Music was one of God’s special gifts to Kathy. She could play the piano by ear and found great joy in old gospel hymns, filling homes and churches with melodies that reflected her faith.
Kathy’s love for sharing God’s Word extended to her family. Her grandchildren lovingly remember gathering in her dining room as children, where she taught Sunday school lessons, nurturing their faith and planting seeds that would last a lifetime.
A dedicated professional, Kathy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Union College and built a successful career doing what she genuinely loved. As the owner and operator of Hutch Tax Service, she served her community faithfully for many years. Kathy took immense pride in her work and the business she built through determination, intelligence, and perseverance. She worked tirelessly and found great fulfillment in helping others while providing for her family.
Though Kathy was accomplished in many ways, her greatest legacy is the faith she shared, the family she loved, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness, wisdom, and example. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the presence of her Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time as they celebrate Kathy’s life and cherish the memories she leaves behind.
