Kathy Taylor Elliott, age 67, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Pineville, Kentucky, received her heavenly healing on December 5, 2023. She was a member of Old Straight Creek Trinity Tabernacle in Pineville, KY.
Kathy was born on October 29, 1956, in Beverly, Kentucky minutes after her twin sister, Connie. They had a special bond from the beginning and were always inseparable. When Connie passed on April 16, 2008, a void was left within Kathy that was finally filled when they reunited in heaven at the time of her passing.
Kathy loved her family and her friends deeply. She had a heart of gold and was always kind to everyone. Although Kathy was not able to attend church regularly due to health reasons, she listened to the word of God and gospel singing daily. Her faith was deeply rooted in the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Opal Taylor; husband, Paul Elliott; special friend, Doug Smith; brothers, Rudy Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Bobby and wife, Beverly Taylor, and Harold Taylor; sister, Connie Garland; brother-in-law, Jerry Emery; and nephew, George Darrin.
Survivors include her daughters, Christy Elliott and spouse, Albert “Tootie” Brock, and Kayla and Caleb Johnson; grandson, Cody Smith and girlfriend, Megan Langford; granddaughters, Maddie and Lillie Johnson; expected great-grandson, Beckett Smith in March 2024; brothers, Freddie (Debbie) Taylor, and Terry Taylor; sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Emery, and Kay Emery; sisters-in-law, Geneva Taylor and Bonnie Taylor; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend, Wanda Neal; and the Johnson family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Stephen Miller and Dr. Malcom Foster of East Tennessee Heart consultants, primary care physician, Dr. Shane Kelley, Tennessee Cancer Specialist, UT hospice, Amedysis of Knoxville and to the staff that worked at Horizon Adult Health Care in Pineville, the many years Kathy attended.
