Katherine Blanton

Katherine Blanton, 77, of Plant City, Florida, and born in Baxter, Kentucky, entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2016. She was a member of Springhead PCG. She lived for her Lord and her family. She is survived by her children, Silas Blanton of Lakeland, Douglas Blanton (Debra) of Sydney, William Blanton (Debbie) of Kentucky, Kathy Blanton of West Virginia, Annette Pierce (John) of Plant City, Melinda Carlisle of Mulberry, Melissa Blanton of Plant City, Carol Salyers of Ohio, Paula Schmitz (Mark) of Bartow, and Bessie Helton Tafe (George) of Dover; 29 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Billy Caldwell (Doris), Anna Ward (Nelson), and Mabel Napp of Illinois; and dog, Waldo. She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Blanton; parents, Silas and Nettie Caldwell; a grandson; and 8 siblings. A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, May 9 at 11:00 A.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. The celebration of life will continue with a service Thursday at 1:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cooper Cemetery in Bledsoe, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service time at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Blanton Family.
